Reviews Summary

Grand Hotel Sitea is widely praised for its impeccable service, historic charm, and prime city center location. Guests consistently highlight the friendly and helpful staff, elegant rooms, and the unique atmosphere of the American Bar. While many find the breakfast good, a few note it as not exceptional for a hotel of this caliber.

"We had a lovely 2 nights 3 days break here, with British Airways. There were other groups, including from the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. The hotel was nicely situated, on a quietish road, not far from many nice restaurants, and of course, cultural sites of interest and significance. The rooms were perfectly fine, if a little warm / "toasty". The bar was nice, and the breakfast was more than acceptable. I found the plumbing in the bathroom of our bedroom to be more 'Il Duce' era, but it worked well enough once its idiosynchrasies had been deciphered.

Overall, a good hotel choice for this bustling Northern Italian city!"

David Goldsmith

"My wife and I stayed for two weeks in May 2025. You can find out a lot about a hotel in that time. We both agreed at the end of our visit the consistence of living quality and friendly service was always the highest possible. The location was perfect. We could walk to most of the sites easily and the walks themselves were a pleasure. Every street was like a promenade meant to stroll and take in the beauty of Turin. The room was great the bed much bigger then most European hotel beds. We had a walk-in shower that over flowed once and as soon as we told the front desk it was fixed within a few minutes. We ate at the hotel Bistro a couple times and food was very good. The mussels and pasta dish was fantastic. But the thing that sold us on the hotel when we were first deciding was the American Bar and it turned out to be a hidden jewel that added greatly to the experience. American mixed drinks in Italy is special. Lastly I have say the front desk staff was incredible. always friendly and helpful for the whole two weeks. They made reservations got tickets and orders taxis, not to mention they broke some of larger euros into lower denominations."

Joe Juliano

"A truly wonderful hotel. The location is great, close to the train station, in walking distance to any of the museums, to the river and to many great restaurants. It’s a safe and lively area even at night.

The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They all looked happy to work there which makes me happy to support the hotel as it seems very well run! Generally, the hotel had a lovely atmosphere.

The rooms were very clean, elegant and comfortable, with AC. The bathrooms were well laid out and convenient. The bedding and beds were very comfortable (with rather soft mattresses).

The hotel itself is beautiful, with a very nice breakfast room. There is a small inner garden with turtles which looked well cared for with vegetables and fruit peels at their disposal. The breakfast is good, but not exceptional, which is a bit too bad since I would say that the hotel is otherwise quite exceptional. But it is really my only (and very small) complaint.

I would gladly stay again at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone staying in Turin! We also tried the bistro Carlo and Camillo, ran by the hotel, and would recommend it! The food was very good and the service too."

The best things to do in Turin: an insider's guide

Set inside a light and airy 20th-century palace, the movie-chic design here (think scalloped couches and starlet-ready mirrors) marries effortlessly well with the palazzo’s high baroque features: long splendid hallways, imposing arches and mosaic floors. Digs are all furnished in creams, blues and a dash of rose. The best come with views eyeing the city rooftops and all are kitted out with hardwood floors, Lavazza coffee machines (the coffee house hails from Turin) and cedar-style furniture.
