What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Rosticceria Gislon is celebrated for its authentic, affordable Italian street food, particularly the iconic 'mozzarella in carrozza' and fresh seafood. While many praise the delicious food and friendly service, some reviews mention limited seating and occasional rudeness from staff, suggesting a bustling, no-frills dining experience focused on flavor over ambiance.
"This restaurant was recommended by the owner of the flat that we stayed in Venezia.
It turned out amazing.
They served delicious, and authentic local food from Venezia, good drinks, and good desserts.
The service was excellent.
The staff was nice, and he helped us chose the popular dishes/drinks/desserts.
Thank you for the good service."

"They call this a snack bar but they do serve entrees such as spaghetti and fish and chicken dishes. It was inside an area enclosed from the outside. There are so many other places to eat in Venice that this would not be a first choice other than we were hungry and didn't know where to go at that point. I ordered a vegetable dish that wasn't on the menu that I could find. I had just seen it in the serving area and asked for a serving and I do believe the staff person just made up a price because it was priced higher and my spaghetti pomodoro. I also saw the same server not give a person back a few dollars of change but when he called him on it, he quickly gave him his dollars."

"We visited Rosticceria Gision during our trip to Venice and tried the shrimp and fish spaghetti. It had a fresh, raw seafood flavor and was served without sauce, which gave it a simple, authentic taste. We also had the calamari, which was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. The dining area was quite limited, and the ambience was just okay."
