"Relaxed but elegant atmosphere. Kids are allowed. Expected to be a very formal dress type of restaurant but was not required. The experience was very nice and the staff spoke English and Italian very well. Beautiful grounds and landscapes. Food was worth the price. Can't wait to have a company event here!"

"Great service and atmosphere. Love the location and the ambiance.
FOOD: Good pasta. Well cooked and good sauce. Also had the liver and it was ok. The sauce was once again good but it did not go well with the liver for my taste bud. Or maybe liver is not my thing.
LOCATION: Fantastic location. Beautiful area, beautiful building, and plenty of parking.
PRICE: Above average.
SERVICE: excellent service and friendly staff.
OVERALL: I would definitely comeback and try different dishes."

"Have to be honest the food was just ok for us. Presentation was fantastic but the few dishes we had did not have enough flavors. Just seemed quite bland and not seasoned enough for us.
Had the octopus which was fantasticly presented but really thin dish had no flavor.
My wife had the monk fish and it was a really strong fish. I had veal ravioli and it was overpowering and hard to eat. A bit gamy.
Also had the veal second course. The veal itself was paper thin and had a layer of what seemed like a tuna spread.
But then, this is just us. Lots of people like this place."

Remo Villa Cariolato – Vicenza
Long recommended by the Michelin Guide, the historic Remo moved a few years ago from its old premises to this beautiful villa typical of the Veneto region, once the home of an Italian hero, one of Garibaldi’s famous “Thousand”. Large and small dining rooms, perfect for special events, act as the backdrop for good regional and Italian cuisine, with a menu divided between meat and fish options. The latter comes almost exclusively from Chioggia market.
Where to eat Baccalà alla Vicentina in Vicenza: the 8 best restaurants chosen by Gambero Rosso
In the fascinating setting of an elegant late 19th-century mansion once owned by Domenico Cariolato, one of Garibaldi's Thousand, surrounded by a monumental park of remarkable beauty, this restaurant has been a reliable destination for years. Located just minutes from the center, it offers a predominantly seafood-based cuisine, but dishes with a strong territorial imprint are not lacking. Baccalà is featured as an appetizer in the Venetian-style whipped version with Maranello corn polenta or in the traditional recipe of Baccalà alla Vicentina always served with Maranello yellow corn polenta.
