Kantaro Sushi

"Kantaro is my favorite conveyor belt sushi restaurant and here is the original branch. You can enjoy fresh, top-quality sushi with a nice view of Hakodate seaside.

The staff are really nice. Eventhough, this is a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, we do not reach out and get sushi from the conveyor belt, but right from chef's hands after they individually make for us. This gauranteed the quality and the freshness on every sushi we got!"

"Overall, it was a delightful sushi experience that showcased the freshness of Hokkaido’s seafood. I particularly enjoyed the tuna set, which offered a good contrast of different levels of tuna side by side, with the otoro being my favorite due to its rich and flavorful taste.

However, I noticed that the rice portions were occasionally larger than anticipated, which sometimes overshadowed the delicate flavors of the fish. Striking a better balance between the rice and fish would undoubtedly elevate the overall quality of the sushi.

While the quality of the seafood justifies the price point to a certain extent, the generous rice servings made some pieces feel less refined.

While this sushi restaurant is a great place to sample the fresh seafood in Hakodate, the slightly larger rice portions and higher price point made the experience slightly less satisfying. Nevertheless, it was still a solid dining experience!"

"The sushi was delicious and reasonably priced considering the quality. The fried squid was also delicious.

There were plenty of cooked food options for those who don’t prefer raw fish, and kids’ meals are available too.

Instead of a conveyor belt, we ordered through a tablet, but the sushi was just as pictured."
