"Popular place with locals and tourists, decent pricing and super delicious food! Service was attentive and at decent pace. We really enjoyed the food here, will return on our next trip to Kagoshima"

"We ordered the oden and shabu sets. The shabu shabu meat was pretty good. I loved the fish and chicken sashimi side dishes as well. The oden was quite interesting. The soup was much thicker that I am used to, not sure if it is a Kyushu or Kagoshima style. But still pretty delicious. We went pretty late on a week day, I think it was past 8pm, so there wasn’t much of a queue. We just waited around 5min"

"The name 吾愛人 attracts us to go for a dinner. The passion of the owner is to [love your customers as you love your sweetheart]. Most staff can understand and speak little English, very friendly, attentive and warm welcome to guests. Sitting in the counter top is the best choice, I would say. The fish tempura, wakaka Shabu-shabu, signature dish of 蕯摩 (egg, tofu, 大根, 黑豚)are all delicious. English menu is available. Do make a reservation or visit after 8pm."

To try out sushi Kagoshima-style, the glittering kibinago is a must-try. This small silver-stripe herring is most commonly served up as thin slivers of sashimi perfectly complemented with a blob of miso and a slice of lemon. While kibinago is found en masse in Kagoshima Bay during spring and summer, it is available around Kagoshima at any time of year with many restaurants specializing in this sparkling silver fish.
