Reviews Summary
Okonomiyaki Umikko is highly praised for its authentic and delicious Japanese cuisine, particularly the okonomiyaki, served by a warm and friendly husband-and-wife team. Diners appreciate the cozy, home-like atmosphere and reasonable prices, making it a beloved local spot. While the intimate setting and cash-only policy are noted, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.
"First of all fantastic service and such a lovely waitress! The best okonomiyaki I had in Japan. Great outdoor sitting area, quiet and atmospheric. The big bonus is that the place was open on Monday, many places in this side of Naoshima were closed. The food and drinks are very reasonable priced. Thank you for the nice meals!"

"Every dish is tasty. You have to get there early to get a table without waiting.
Returned 3 days later. Tried other dishes. All as good as the first time."

"It’s a local small Japanese restaurant that is served by its owners. The food is great and they serve you pretty quick. Of course if you are searching for high end cousine in a fancy atmosphere go somewhere else. Tip: go there early or call before showing up the restaurant fulls up pretty quick because there is not much in the zone."
