What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Shizuka offers an authentic kamameshi experience, praised for its delicate flavors and the satisfying crispy rice crust. While many enjoy the warm atmosphere and unique dishes, some diners find the popularity leads to long waits, and a few have found the kamameshi itself to be understated or the portions small compared to the rice.
"Really good authentic taste kamameshi. Flavourful and great texture for the rice. I recommend going for the mixed kamameshi it's more flavourful with the unagi sauce. Sashimi also taste really good. Just be prepared to queue and wait a while for the food to be served because it was really crowded. Service was standard because staff was really busy. Be sure to order all you want to try in the beginning because additional orders will take super long or you don't get to add orders at all."

"We arrived an hour before closing so there was no queue, and the restaurant was only half full so the atmosphere was quite relaxing. The food was good and ingredients were fresh."
Millie
"Deceptive popularity! Endured a 1.5-hour wait with a couple of small groups ahead, while numerous empty tables inside. Poor operations overshadow any perceived food quality."
