Reviews Summary

Diners rave about the incredibly fresh and generously portioned sushi, with many highlighting the outstanding quality of the fish and the friendly service. While some mention it can be a bit pricey compared to conveyor belt sushi, the quality justifies the cost for a memorable dining experience. A few reviewers noted that the sushi rice was overcooked or that some staff seemed less welcoming to foreign tourists, but overall, the positive feedback significantly outweighs these concerns.

"Dude… sooooooooooo gooooooood. It was the bee’s knees. If you love oyster, raw this is the place to elevate your tastes buds😵‍💫. Omg I have eaten many places for oyster but this place is magical. The oysters are sooo plump and juicy but not fishy. So fresh. Can’t describe it, you just need to try it. The sushi on the other hand, the pictures do it no justice. It’s so plump, you basically get a sashimi attached to your nigiri. Definitely worth the yen, the USD the moolah $$$$$. I am not Japanese but I love sushi and this is the place to try it in Japan. The Oneesan a.k.a, your waitresses, are so sweet even offered me more miso soup on the house. Omg you guys don’t miss out…. I love food and I love this place. Bomb.com"

"Sushi was top grade with huge portions of fish to rice ratio, as it should be for this type of restaurant.
The restaurant was full so it took a while to get my order. A bit pricey compared to belt sushi restaurants but the quality is top rate. Spent 70$, for our dinner with 2 large beers well worth the price"

Harvey Tanaka

"I enjoyed the grilled white fish miso taste, fresh and delicious to me. I can eat few of that in a row. The sushi were good enough for that price. The service is attentive. It’s a good meal for tonight."

Day Trip Guide to Sawara, Chiba: What to See and Where to Stay

Sawara, a township that sat along the Tonegawa path, became an area known as “the kitchen” of Edo, with its own direct canal passage, the Onogawa River cutting right through the town center. Sawara also became a key distribution base, and merchants from across Japan traveled here to take advantage of the growth of Sawara.

This began to change when Tokugawa Ieyasu moved the capital to Edo in 1603. Later samurai likely saw appeal in patronizing a temple associated with political and military success. In particular, Kabuki star, Ichikawa Danjūrō I (1660–1704), gave the temple much support.
