What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sanuki Udon Byakuan is highly praised for its exceptionally thick and chewy udon noodles, delicious broths, and scrumptious, freshly fried tempura. Diners consistently rave about the high-quality ingredients, generous portions, and reasonable prices. While most experiences are overwhelmingly positive, one reviewer mentioned poor service and a less satisfying experience.
"The restaurant is really home like inside. We got in before the lunch rush. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The portions are huge, so if you are not a big eater, then follow my advice. I usually eat a decent size meal, and I recommend sharing the tempura on the recommended dish. Get the udon and rice but share the tempura. The food is excellent quality and the best udon I've ever had."

"So glad I found this shop, 2 days before leaving back to Malaysia. The specialty of this shop is their udon is so FAT and chewy. So damn good!
I ordered the one cold one (cold one is nicer, trust me) and the three types of tempura. 11/10!! The tempura, they kinda use their own type of frying flour. Taste different compared to others I have eaten in Japan. The portion is big. Don't have to add on. (Trust me again, I am hugging my stomach now. Hahaha)
My gf ordered the curry one. Quite special. Especially the tempura soft boiled egg! Epic!
Most impressive is the Passion and energy by the boss (I think). A gentlemen. Although he is speaking japanese and I know almost nothing, but from his gesture and hand signals, I almost know everything. He is so passionate and caring. ❤️❤️❤️
Highly recommended."

"Great homemade udon :) really reasonable price, and enormous portion! Would really recommend it! Tempura is still crispy even when soaked in the soup! As for the Mentaiko-Cheese menu is only available in November and December, you can also add +100 yen for more udon but really don’t need to, the portions big enough!"
