What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tsurugyu is highly praised for its exceptionally high-quality Kobe and Tajima beef, with many diners highlighting the interactive charcoal grilling experience. While the meat is consistently lauded, some reviews point to instances of abrupt or unwelcoming service from staff, particularly an elder gentleman, which detracts from the overall dining experience for some patrons. Despite these service concerns, the quality of the meat often makes it a memorable meal for visitors.
"It was our friends’ final evening and this meal was absolutely perfect. Our host was so knowledgeable and passionate, and patiently went through how everything should be cooked and prepared. Thank you so much - best meal of our trip!"

"Meat was great. Got 4 different meat dishes that blended well with the vegetable plate. Price is reasonable and the service tax was 4-5% if I remember correctly. Total spent was close to $120 for 4 plates of beef wagyu, veggies, cabbage, 3 drinks, & small & big rice bowls."
Santino Gatmaytan
"Seeing so many reviews about the restaurant, I went with high expectations to try it out. However, when our party of seven arrived at the restaurant entrance, we were refused entry. Despite seeing empty tables inside, I asked the staff if we could sit at two separate tables, but they still rejected us and asked us to leave. I further asked if the restaurant needed any reservation. The owner still said NO !!!!!! I noticed the owner then spoke a lot of Japanese to a nearby Japanese customer, and his expression was unfriendly, filled with discrimination against Chinese .Before I never comment any bad experiences . However, this was the most unpleasant dining experience I've had in Japan."
