What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners consistently praise Kutsurogiya for its Michelin-quality food and traditional Japanese ambiance, particularly highlighting the delicious Kobe beef and kamameshi. While the wait times can be extensive, most agree the exceptional culinary experience and generous portions make it worth the anticipation.
"Love the food.
Everything was beautifully done.
Love the oyster rice. The oysters are plump and flavourful. I would recommend the sashimi platter.
The beef set was nicely done even though it was steamed. The steamed vegetables have a light flavour of beef.
Aside from the mains, the sides are also nicely done. The preserved radish and mochi desserts are also very good.
Come early to queue. The restaurant opens at 5 pm. I was there at 4 pm and I was fifth in line. The feel is that if you want to eat, waiting / queuing is a must as it is too popular."

"Excellent meal, served in traditional dining hall.
So glad to find this place by chance (hint - long queue outside by locals).
The food is excellent; and friendly host despite the language barrier. Be prepared to wait in the queue (> 1.5 hours). And it's cash only transaction."

"Worth the wait. We came early and still waited ages
From the service right to the food was Michelin quality.
The Kobe beef set was really top notch and worth coming here for.
Go on splurge a little. You won’t be disappointed. You only come here once. Try it"
