1 Michelin star ⭐️ sukiyaki in Tokyo .

Reviews Summary

Imafuku is celebrated for its exceptionally high-quality Wagyu beef, particularly in its Sukiyaki and Shabu-Shabu preparations. Diners rave about the melt-in-your-mouth texture and the attentive, friendly service. However, a few patrons have experienced significant issues with booking management, including mistaken cancellations and unwelcoming staff attitudes, which have unfortunately marred their dining experience.

"After a full day of touring Tokyo, we ended our evening at Imafuku しゃぶしゃぶ・すき焼き 今福—and what an unforgettable experience it was! Our hotel kindly made a reservation for our party of six, and from the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality.

The meal started with a beautifully presented appetizer of tiny squid and fresh vegetables—absolutely delicious and set the tone for the rest of the evening. Each of us ordered sukiyaki, and it was truly the highlight. The quality of the beef was outstanding—tender, flavorful, and perfectly marbled. What made it even more special was the attentive server who cooked the sukiyaki tableside for us, ensuring everything was just right. The tofu, vegetables, and their unique egg dipping sauce added such rich depth to every bite.

To finish, we were offered a choice of desserts. I chose the panna cotta with fresh fruit, and it was the perfect ending—light, creamy, and beautifully plated. The staff went above and beyond, even calling two taxis for us when we needed to head to Shibuya Crossing.

Imafuku is a must-visit if you’re looking for an authentic, elegant, and memorable sukiyaki experience in Tokyo. Highly recommended!"

"We asked a friend to book for us and when we showed up, the staff kept saying that our booking was cancelled on their system the day before without further explaining anything like how it was cancelled and by whom. Their attitude was not friendly at all especially the male staff.
We refused to leave and asked our friend to call the restaurant again. It turned out that it was another booking that was cancelled but the restaurant had mistakenly cancelled ours instead. They finally allowed us in but the make staff still seemed very unfriendly. Also, they didn't apologise at all. Very disappointing and have ruined the whole experience."

"Best to reserve take in advance! The place is small ( 8 tables only ), but very cozy.

We went for the sukiyaki, and that was the best sukiyaki ever. The waguy meat unbelievably tasty.

The personnel are very friendly and extremely polite.

I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo."
