While the food quality is consistently praised, some reviewers mention concerns regarding hygiene standards and the occasional abrupt service, particularly during busy times. Despite these minor points, the authentic experience and delicious, well-priced offerings make it a highly recommended spot for sushi lovers seeking an off-the-beaten-path gem.
"Small restaurant with excellent service. Fresh sushi and sashimi. I don’t know what I ordered, I only say osusume (recommendation) and the owner pointed at 3 pictures. Best sushi I ever had 👍🏻 Although the place looks old, it is very clean."

"We ended up there a bit by mistake but decided to stay for a local experience. And local it was! The staff is very nice, they have a menu with a few pictures for us foreigners, the service is very fast. And boy these sashimis were good, fresh and cheap! If you’re up for a authentic experience, seated next to locals, good it a shot! For 20€ for 2 you might have the best sushi of your life."
Julien DERAY
"This place is in a hidden street but easy to find and far enough from the tourist area.
There are around 10 seats so if you don’t wanna line up you need to come before 12.00 Fantastic sushi plate with chunch of raw tuna and miso soup for a ridiculous price."

Ultimate Tokyo Food Guide In Japan - Where And What To Eat
Down a quiet alley on the East end of Tsukiji Fish Market is a sushi restaurant that is so easy to miss that we must’ve walked passed it 3 or 4 times before we finally figured out where it was. The street itself looks more for wholesalers than anything but tucked away is an entrance on a side-alley to this wonderfully local sushi spot called Motodane. For those that are wondering, yes this is still at Tsukiji!
