Reviews Summary

Restaurant Hokusai is praised for offering authentic Japanese cuisine with generous portions at theme park prices, providing a welcome respite from quick-service options. While the atmosphere and friendly service are appreciated, some guests note that service can be slow during peak times, and English communication may be limited.

"A delicious Japanese restaurant inside Tokyo Disneyland, though be prepared to queue a bit, and then queue again after being called up. Service is fast but feels rather impersonal, typical of a busy theme park. That said, the food is pretty good considering the location—better than expected for theme park standards. They even put in a cute effort to incorporate Mickey Mouse into their desserts, which adds a nice touch. Overall, a recommended option if you’re looking for a solid meal during your visit."

"Yummy sashimi and beef. Hokusai restaurant has toilet at level 2. Turn left when u walk out of the lift at level 2 u can see the toilet thr but only 3 cubicles in female toilet."

"We visited Hokusai Restaurant at Disneyland Tokyo without a reservation. Upon arrival, two ladies at the front informed us that the wait time would be around 30–45 minutes. True to their estimate, we were seated after about 45 minutes.

While most of the staff were friendly, I felt that the service could have been a bit more welcoming — perhaps due to the language barrier, as English communication was quite limited. That said, once seated, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We didn’t have high expectations, but the dishes turned out to be very good!

One thing to note is that the service time was a little slow, so be prepared to wait a bit after ordering. Overall, it was a nice experience, and worth a visit."
