"Wow wow wow! Bamboo Garden has excellent authentic food with superb service. We had vegetable curry, stir fry morning glory & shrimp rice. All dishes were superb in taste & flavour. Our favourite food spot in Luang Prabang.
Heavily recommend!"

"The taste of the food is just okay. The restaurant is clean and the food is plentiful. It is known as a local restaurant with a long queue, but it is hard to find anything special about it. You have to wait in a queue during meal times especially, but it is not a restaurant worth waiting for so much."

"Not closed! We've gone there three times in three nights. Nice place owned by a lovely family. Wide menu. Good fried rice and lots of other choices. Good prices.
Closes for a while in the afternoon, so perhaps that lead to the incorrect assumption that it is closed."

Must-Try Restaurants in Luang Prabang
Bamboo Garden was the first restaurant we visited, and it did give us a very good initial impression of the food in Luang Prabang. This small restaurant is owned and managed by a couple, with the husband responsible for front of house and the wife in charge of the kitchen. The husband could speak English and he gave us some good recommendations.
Luang Prabang: Places to eat 1/2
Like most other restaurant the Garden Restaurant, located on the left side coming from the night market, has a few tables on the front perch, while more tables are inside and in the back garden. For people watching it is a good psot, but I thought the food was mediocore. The curry was too watery, more like a soup.

We happened to stumble upon this awesome little restaurant because we happened to be staying down the road at a guesthouse. They have the best chicken fried rice and veggie fried rice that I’ve ever had. It’s owned by a local family and we quickly became regulars here during our three-week stay.
