"One of my favourite cafes. Really nice atmosphere with a nice view on the street and the temple. Nice coffee and good matcha! A lot of choices for breakfast or lunch. Definitely the best croissants! You can also buy here some French products and some good cheese."

"Every please read before making your reviews in LAOS!!!
I saw many French people are giving bad reviews to this place, then came to see by myself. I have to say that please don't believe on these people's opinions. I have been many cities in France where nobody where able to speak any single word - even they weren't not able to say hello in English - and these people are coming here and complaining about why locals don't speak in English. Believe me Laos people speaks better in English then most of the French people in France. I saw many French youngsters who can't behave properly in Laos, when you are visiting new country try to learn their culture and respect, behave accordingly, if you don't respect ofcourse you will be kicked-out in every single place. Sorry but i must say these after reading all these reviews - which made me to think double before coming here. I'm happy that I came to see by myself.
Laos people are learning, improving themselves all the times and it will get better and better. Try to respect for it, most of them are youngsters who wants to build their life.
About the bakery - I loved a lot , they have many varieties, prices are very good that locals also can effort to eat. Coffee quality is amazing 😍 cakes are well done as in France. Thank you guys for this great place. Keep going."

"Excellent bakery, the pear tarts were fantastic!! Baguette was made with flour and chewy unlike the soft rice flour ones in other places.
Indoor and outdoor seating in a quiet end of the heritage area. There’s an import shop inside as well."

Up at the quiet end of the peninsula where the sacred ceremony of almsgiving (tak-bat) begins at dawn, a little bakery restaurant makes the best baguettes and croissants in Laos. Laos’ historical connections to France are reflected in the delicious pastries at Le Banneton, a real French bakery that offers some of the best croissants I’ve had outside of France. I say that with extra confidence knowing that the large French expat population in Luang Prabang frequents Le Banneton and can be overheard catching up with one another in their native tongue just like they would on the streets of Paris. Luang Prabang - A Romantic Peninsula
But the reputation for romance also stems from the aroma of flowers down narrow streets lined with green foliage, numerous restaurants with decks overlooking either river (where you can get very tasty fruit shakes and drinks) and, due to the large amount of French-speaking tourists who frequent Luang Prabang, hearing French spoken on the streets anytime you leave your guesthouse.
