"We had the sunday brunch.
I love their dessert soo much I end up going everytime I crave sweet stuff. The food is also very good. It’s a comforting and fancy place and I find myself going many times."

"Classy and traditional choice in the small roads of Achrafieh.
The inside and outside architecture is beautiful.
Quick service, professional staff, and nice presentation. Food taste isn't bad but might be better.
However, it is difficult to find a parking on your own. The valet parking option is available.
Enjoy..."

Beirut’s art scene: a top 10 guide | Beirut holidays
Liza Soughayar’s eponymous Paris restaurant has made a name for itself as the French capital’s top address for Lebanese food, but this passionate Beiruti decided to risk all by opening up in her home city too. Renovating a grand 19th-century mansion, she exhibits challenging artworks by young Lebanese artists, and two of the four dining rooms are decorated with audacious one-off wallpaper replicating the old Lebanese Pound bank note and silhouettes of bombed Beirut buildings. The cuisine is a surprising, modern interpretation of traditional dishes such as kebbe nayye (lamb tartar) and loukoz bel selek (sea bass with tahini), while the hummus and tabbouleh are out of this world.
Top Restaurants In Beirut, Lebanon
Liza, which first debuted in Paris, opened its signature restaurant in East Beirut in 2013. Named after one of the owners, Liza Asseily, it is a remarkable place that received a warm welcome in no time. Offering Middle Eastern and Lebanese dishes, Liza stands out for its extraordinary setting: located in a former Abdallah Bustros Palace, the spacious 500-square-metre venue received a great deal of attention when it opened, with tasteful, differently named rooms bridging traditional and modern styles.
A Local's Guide for What to Do in Beirut, Lebanon
This is upscale Lebanese dining—the apple tabbouleh and roasted lamb are incredible—in a truly magnificent setting. Liza Asseily, who first opened her namesake restaurant in Paris, went big and grand with the Beirut outpost, which occupies part of a 19th-century palace and was designed by Maria Ousseimi.” (Metropolitan Club Doumani Street, Trabaud, Achrafieh, lizabeirut.com)
In Beirut, the Restoration of Heritage Buildings Offers New Hope
Another historic building, the 19th-century palace in Achrafieh that hosts the Liza Restaurant, required no less work to get off the ground—it was in poor condition when Liza Asseily and her husband acquired it in 2010. After three years, though, they transformed it into one of Beirut’s most beautiful spaces.

Where to Eat in Beirut
Liza is a really nice place, the dining room is covered in mirrors and lights, the floor has gorgeous tiles and the furniture is spot on, it's beautiful and also a bit boojie. I've heard good things about their brunch buffet on weekends, however, we went for dinner, ordering a selection of their mezze as well as dessert. The hummus here is lovely, some say it's the best they had in Beirut, we also had a purslane salad with roasted aubergines and pomegranate that was exceptional - the aubergine cubes were fried crispy on the outside and still soft on the inside.
