Reviews Summary
Diners rave about Madam Kwan's for its authentic Malaysian cuisine, delicious Nasi Bojari, and cozy ambiance. While the food is generally praised for its quality and generous portions, some have noted issues with the QR ordering system's performance and occasional inconsistencies in service, particularly from management.
"Excellent dinner here. Super authentic Malaysian food, attentive and friendly service , and wonderful ambience! Everything was delicious. The satay portion was huge, with 6 fat skewers. Very tender, tasty, and with lots of real galangang 💕. Peanut sauce was perfect. Fruit Rojak with Soft Shell Crab and the Vegetarian Char Kway Teow were very good too.
Highly recommend!"

"I tried the Taro Butter Toast, and I really love the idea behind it! It's a creative twist on the classic Malaysian kaya & butter toast, using beautiful purple taro to give it a modern and attractive look. The taro itself tasted great — not too sweet, just right for today’s preference for lighter flavors.
However, I was quite disappointed to find that the "butter" used was actually margarine. It tasted very oily and left a greasy feeling in the mouth. It didn’t have the smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture of real butter. Honestly, the margarine really affected the overall experience. I hope the restaurant can consider using real butter in the future — it would make this lovely idea taste as good as it looks!"

"The first thing we noticed was the stern-looking Indian manager. His facial expression made it clear he wasn’t thrilled to be there. As usual, the food was decent, but the service from the manager left much to be desired.
On the bright side, the younger Indian waiter who assisted us was far more polite and cheerful, always smiling and making an effort to find us a good seat. The manager could definitely take a few notes from him.
(Please note that I didn't get any of their names so based on their ethnicity)"

Overall we enjoyed the food and the ambiance of the restaurant very much, but not going to visit again so soon because sometimes when thinking about having local food is like really common, and could get them anywhere, some even tastier. Nonetheless if spending for the ambiance and once a while just want to splurge on ourselves and family & friends, it's still worthwhile for a visit. Sometimes it's not about the place or food, it's about whom we have the meal with.

Ma Guo friend invited us to dinner, he chose this restaurant chain with Ma Guo cuisine and Nyonya cuisine. Seven people called a table of dishes. I especially like the signature coconut milt rice, it is really delicious, the chicken is cooked in the taste, and the coconut milt rice is also fragrant.
