What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bridge Street Prawn Noodle is highly praised for its authentic and rich Hokkien prawn mee, with a flavorful broth that has been perfected over generations. Diners appreciate the option to customize their bowls with add-ons like pork ribs and shrimps. While many find the taste exceptional, some reviews mention the portions can be small or the taste is average, with occasional remarks about environmental smells.
"There is limited parking just after the shop. The entry road is small and signage can be missed. Drive slowly and you won't miss it. It's limited so it depends on your luck.
The seating place has non uniformed (in size, shape, material and colour) tables and chairs. I found them a little jarring but I guess it does have it's own charm. Anyway, I am here for the food and not for an ID discussion.
Coming to the food, they are served piping hot, be careful of your tongue is my advise. I came early therefore my hokkien prawn soup was fresh, tasty and heavily deliciously flavored. It's definitely one of the best tasting hokkien mee out here.
As far as the Loh Mee is concerned, I like the consistency (not too starchy), however I found the taste a little mild. The mee itself is delicious though. However, when compared to the hokkien mee, I think that the winner is clear.
Having said that, the best is still a combo of both. Hokkien Lor mee. If you have to choose, rather than a pure choice, a mix here is definitely the better choice. The braised taste of the loh mee soup with the spicy light prawny hokkien mee somehow combines ridiculously well to give you a flavour that you don't get by eating it individually."

"Woke up early, within a short walk from our dorm we found this famous prawn mee. I ordered mine with add on ribs and intestine.... I just fall for it, my first time here. Truly delicious. Will be back here again ❤️❤️❤️

"My go to prawn noodles in Penang, conveniently located and reasonably priced. The noodles though eaten in the ☀️ hot weather is still highly refreshing and not salty. The local drinks were great tooo. Do check it out if you are around Komtar, it is just a 10mins walk.
The noodles come plain so add on any ingredients that you wish to."
