Reviews Summary
Heritage Transfer Road Roti Canai is a famous Penang breakfast spot lauded for its crispy roti canai and flavorful chicken curry. While many praise its authentic taste and affordable prices, some diners have noted issues with cleanliness, inconsistent food quality, and pushy waiters. It's a popular, bustling roadside eatery offering a true local experience, but be prepared for potential downsides.
"Affordable. Roti Canai was crispy on some parts even though it had egg. Chicken was tender and cooked well. Skip the toast with eggs, nothing special and margarine tasted bad. They only speak Malay here."

"This was my first time ever trying roti canai with chicken. Since I have nothing similar to compare it with, I’d rate it a 4 out of 5 for both taste and portion.
We arrived around 11am from the airport, and the place was very crowded. We ended up getting seats across the road. The seating area wasn’t very clean, but considering it’s a typical warung, that’s expected.
The roti canai with ayam costs RM10, and you get a quarter chicken with roti canai and gravy. For that portion, it’s quite affordable.
Parking is available at a nearby workshop (bengkel) located slightly further up, opposite the stall.
Besides the roti canai, you can also order toast from the neighbouring shop — there’s someone stationed to take your order for that.
You pay upon food arrival, not in advance.
Overall: It was an okay experience and worth trying, especially if you’ve never had quarter chicken with roti canai banjir before."

"The waiters were pushy. The eating place across the actual shop were dirty. Chairs were dirty that I actually had to choose the chairs. We were there at 8am, so no crowd yet.
The food were just ok. Nothing special if I'm honest. Price was steep, for the type and quality of food.
I have heard a lot of this shop. Absolutely disappointed."
