Reviews Summary

Nasi Kandar Pelita is widely celebrated for its authentic mamak cuisine, particularly its signature nasi kandar and popular roti canai, offering a vibrant atmosphere and friendly service. However, some diners have noted a decline in food quality over the years and occasional issues with service consistency or specific dishes like rojak and roti pisang.

"Had my breakfast here after my regular annual comprehensive health checkup at the nearby Pathlab. They serve variety of local dishes. Located at a corner lot. Good food with reasonable prices."

Lorie Lorel

"If I could give zero star for this place, I would. I don’t normally write reviews, but this time I feel compelled to warn people. The roti pisang here was an absolute disaster. It was soggy, dry, and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours — making the entire dish absolutely disgusting.

This is nowhere near Malaysian standards… it’s honestly embarrassing for a place like Pelita to serve something this bad. Save your money and your appetite; there are much better options elsewhere."

Alicia Louise Tan

"I used to come here in the early 2000s, when the food was decently ok. A recent visit 25 years later in Aug 2025, revealed that the food quality here has now dropped drastically from back then. Sadly, to earn money nowadays, most businesses cut corners and try to save on quality ingredients. But the current generation doesn't know how good quality food used to taste like. Anyway, price is still reasonable here, but the food quality is down. Just the nice corner shop atmosphere still remains."
