Ole sayang means “gift of love” when translated from Peranakan, was established in 1983 and is the first authentic Nyonya restaurant in Melaka. According to the reviews, the food is great which brings back many happy returning customers!. Do note though, that it can get quite crowded during lunch and dinner hours during the weekends so be sure to get there before peak hours if you can’t wait for more than an hour.

Mixed reviews about Restoran Ole Sayang may have deterred visitors but the queues outside the restaurant even before it opens reveal that it’s still a crowd favourite. The coloured glass windows and wide wooden doors that welcome guests at the entrance are reminiscent of Peranakan heritage. This time, we got the opportunity to savour the recipes first hand!

Its a nice place and once again Thank You the owner for being so nice allowing us to chip in after his operating hours. I really favor nyonya food therefore my choice of selection is quite particular so may not be the best Nyonya food that I have tried but definitely is one of the famous in Malacca that you can tried some local taste with reasonable price.
