Reviews Summary

Restoran Ole Sayang offers a taste of authentic Nyonya cuisine in a warm, homely setting, with many praising its traditional flavors and generous portions. However, some diners have found certain dishes to be overly salty or bland, and service experiences can vary. It's a popular spot, but be prepared for potential crowds during peak times.

"Ole Sayang serves truly traditional Nyonya cuisine with authentic flavors. The food tastes great ,well-balanced and not too salty, which we really appreciated. The price is also very reasonable for the quality and portion size. A great spot for anyone wanting to experience classic Nyonya dishes in a comfortable setting. Will definitely come back!"

"Overall, the food was disappointing. We decided to try this place after seeing positive reviews on TikTok, but we regret not checking their Google reviews before going! It was the worst meal we've had in Melaka. The sambal sotong was overcooked, and the sambal itself was bland. The Ayam Pongteh was terrible—extremely salty and unpleasant. Additionally, the server was overly pushy, failing to follow our instructions and insisting we order larger portions even though we had seven kids who don’t eat much. We ordered rendang chicken, but were served pongteh instead, which was inedible. Overall, this was the worst Peranakan food we've had in Melaka. Don’t get deceived by the photos, it looked appealing but it is extremely not 🤢"

"I came here on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch and I had a really good lunch here. Ordered their Ikan Jenak cili goreng, Masak lemak nanas prawn, sotong & udang sambal petai (the star of the show for me and my partner), kangkung belacan & telur cincaluk (including 2 rice & tea) The total bill was RM161 which is a very very good price in my opinion. Food was so good that I didn’t get to take photos. The service was good too, didn’t experience any rude waiter or slow service. Everything was just nice.

It wasn’t crowded during the time I came here, food was amazing, drove all the way from KL just to have lunch here and I was not disappointed. However I’m pretty shocked to see the amount of bad reviews, I guess to each their own because I had a divine lunch and I wouldn’t mind coming back here again."
