Diners praise d Centre for its authentic Maltese and Mediterranean dishes, generous portions, and fair prices, particularly enjoying the cozy outdoor seating and unique ambiance. While the food is often highlighted as delicious and good value, some reviewers note that service can be slow or haphazard, and a few have had disappointing experiences with specific dishes.
"Amazing, flavourful food - probably the best I've had in Malta! And you can eat outside at the table in this narrow, classic street! The starters portion was so big I was almost full before the pizza. Delicious, crispy dough, rich in ingredients, just the right temperature of cheese. Kind and helpful staff, recommended great wine to pair with the pizza. Did not have to wait that long. Very clean place as well. Definitely recommend trying out this restaurant!"

"A cozy and charming spot, probably the best value for your money in the area.
Food:
For a part of town that leans a bit fancy and touristy, d Centre manages to serve up solid quality Maltese and Mediterranean dishes at a fair price, usually around €15–20. The food is tasty and well-prepared, and the portions are generous. While it might not be a culinary revelation that’s worth going out of your way for, it’s definitely a great option if you’re nearby and want a traditional meal without the upscale price tag.
Atmosphere:
The outdoor seating is where this place really shines. It’s rustic, cozy, and full of character, the kind of space that makes you want to linger. Sitting outside gives you that laid-back summer vibe and a real feel for Mediterranean culture. Also, don’t skip the restroom — seriously. It’s surprisingly impressive, with stone walls, water features, and even a little fish pond. Easily one of the most unique restaurant restrooms you’ll see!
People:
Service here can be a bit slow and relaxed — not bad, just not especially polished. It feels a bit like what you’d expect from a casual, mid-range tourist spot. Nothing major to complain about, but don’t come expecting five-star attentiveness."

"Great place for food. We ate down the side bit to the restaurant which was lovely with all the lights and atmosphere.
Food was good, my husband had rabbit stew and I had a seafood linguine. The portions are quite large but took some back to our apartment with us."
