A restaurant in Sliema - the Fernandõ Gastrotheque - has gained One Michelin Star status joining another five restaurants in Malta that also boast the star - Under Grain, Valletta; Noni, Valletta; ION – The Harbour, Valletta; De Mondion, Mdina; and Bahia, Balzan.

De Mondion Restaurant, Under Grain, ION – The Harbour, Bahia Restaurant and Noni Restaurant yesterday received the prestigious Michelin Star Award, after being included in the 2021 Michelin Guide for Malta, which is now in its second edition.

The five restaurants which retained their Michelin Star status for another year are: Under Grain in Valletta; Noni in Valletta; ION – The Harbour in Valletta; De Mondion in Mdina; and Bahia in Balzan (previously located in Lija).
