Some of the best food in Valletta that we tried was at Trattoria Romana Zero Sei. This was the first Trattoria Romana in all of Malta and they’re famous for their traditional Carbonara which you absolutely have to order. It tastes amazing and the portion is very generous.

When visiting Malta, you’ll notice that the majority of restaurants are Italian. This makes it difficult to figure out which ones are worth visiting and which ones are not. However, one of my personal favorite Italian restaurants is located in Valletta.

Zero Sei Trattoria Romano – situated on a quieter street in Valletta, this charming Roman restaurant is a favorite for Italian cuisine. Known for its authentic carbonara and yummy truffle burrata, it’s a must-visit for authentic Italian.

This Roman-run little trattoria in Valletta (just opposite the Manoel Theatre) serves the most delicious and well-cooked pasta. Our tip – don’t bother trying to choose between Amatriciana and Carbonara, go twice.

A new addition to the capital, is Zero Sei just opposite the Manoel Theatre. It is run by a Roman couple and serves excellent pasta dishes.

Overall, my experience at Zero Sei Trattoria Romana was fantastic, and I can’t wait to go back and try more of their delicious menu items.
