What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Proa Restaurant offers delicious Pacific Rim cuisine, with standouts like their signature BBQ ribs and creative salmon specials. While many praise the flavorful food and generous portions, some reviews mention inconsistent service and occasional issues with food arriving at different times. The ambiance is generally appreciated, though some diners have expressed disappointment with recent changes in food quality and portion sizes.
"Such a cute spot to stop in for desserts or a meal. Didn't have any food there, but what I saw being served looked amazing! There was only one server there when my friend and I arrived. It wasn't bust at first but then people started to fill the restaurant. I can tell she was overwhelmed but was still so pleasant. Definitely will be back to try their food! Oh, and my favorite was the chocolate moose cake!"

"Food was great but the service was little bit bad. The glasses wore waiter did not ask us how we are doing, while he asked to other American customers around us. We are Japanese and spoke English, but felt like we were treated differently. I asked the waiter why he didn’t ask us how we were doing but he said “I did”, which is obviously a lie. I’ve never experienced such discrimination. But food was good."

"Proa Tumon location is a gem. Found at corner of Ypao beach before entrance. Parking small. Make sure your appetite is big. Our male waiter made great suggestions of island food and tastes. I took pics of the ones we tried. This place is worth the price. Desserts hit the spot. My short ribs order was the best! Great job everyone!"

There are 2 sections to this restaurant—a dining hall that is better suited for families and people looking for a more quiet atmosphere while they enjoy dinner, and the bar, which has the upbeat, tropical vibe of any great beach bar, and has lively music playing for guests to enjoy while they drink and mingle. The drink menu has all of the classic vacation drinks, such as piña coladas, margaritas, mojitos, and tequila sunrises, while also featuring a good selection of ice cold beer, cocktails, and wine.

The place offers some really exotic dishes for tourists looking for the traditional taste of Guam and is very affordable as well. When I visited these guys, we ordered something like the Hibachi Duo Platter and a Hibachi Trio Platter which was enough for 10 people almost and we paid around $70. Apart from that, you can try out their amazing cookies, cakes and brownies as well.

Guam’s best restaurant has two locations, one of which is in Tumon and easily found across the entrance from the Hilton.
