This was my favorite restaurant in Cabo San Lucas for pastor tacos. If you’ve never had a pastor taco before, it is a pork taco that is seasoned with dried chiles and other spices (the recipe varies widely across the country). It is usually cooked on a spit, kind of like shawarma or kebab.

If you’ve ever been to Mexico City, you’ll know all about al pastor tacos. Made with seasoned pork, pineapple and onion, they’re a staple all over the capital. On the Baja Peninsula, shrimp is usually the star of every taco menu.

Everyone speaks English and staff are very helpful with allergies. I had no problems eating here. It’s definitely more in the touristy area/downtown than other areas near the beach but pretty affordable and really delicious food!

If you’re a taco lover, then you have to stop into the neighborhood taco joint one afternoon or night. The service was super fast, and all of the ingredients were fresh!. Do keep in mind that this is an open air restaurant.

Another Mexican cuisine restaurant but with more of a casual feel. The food here was less fancy than Los 3 Gallos, but it certainly did not disappoint in flavor. They have homemade tortillas and a churro stand.

Start out with the fried rolled cheese, you won’t be disappointed. They basically slice cheese really thinly and then deep fry it. When you are sitting down you might notice several locals eating here.
