Café Tal

If you haven’t ventured into the caffeine side of this charming town, though, there are two spots you can’t miss: Cafe Tal and Cafe Conquistador. Cafe Tal is both a roastery and coffee shop, split between two buildings and two levels of seating. Order your favorite drink (everything on the menu is worthwhile), then pick a table by the windows overlooking the busy street outside, where you’ll see kids walking to school, locals going about their day, and a few tourists testing their navigation skills.

Escondido en un callejón y pet friendly, este pequeño café ofrece uno de los mejores chocolates de la ciudad, con el muy poco apetecible nombre de “Beso negro”. Es el lugar ideal para ir solo, acompañado de un buen libro. Es más café que restaurante, por lo que no esperes desayunar mucho.

🍽 Cafe Tal – if you adore great quality coffee then Cafe Tal has to be on your list of places to visit. I think, with no hyperbole, that the $8 peso cup of black coffee I bought here might be the best coffee I’ve ever had in my life. It was creamy and rich and just perfect.

Located on Sangre de Cristo, Café Tal has excellent coffee and great wifi. They also have an adorable cat that will come and snuggle with you while you sip tea and read a book. The most interesting café that I have encountered in my time here is El Lechón Ilustrado.

Cafe tal ($) Cafe tal has now become a Guanajuato classic, to this day this place has one of my favorite mochas in the world!. I used to have a lot study/ homework sessions there back when I was a student, and students still go there now!

When you’ve had too much mescal the night before, go to Cafe Tal to help wake up. For a real jolt, order the super-caffeinated, chocolatey rich espresso drink they call Parkinson. Just don’t say we didn’t warn you.

The cute cafe Tal (@cafetalgto) has the best cortado in town. It’s in the middle of the beautiful centre and you can also take the coffee to go (we did that a lot).

We got a little table by the window and enjoyed our cappuccinos while planning the day. Another cafe we wanted to try based on good reviews was Cafe Conquistador.

Café Tal: A traditional Mexican café that is perfect for a mid-day break. It’s not just the coffee here that’s excellent, but also their pastries.
