"This place has some tasty tacos and very friendly wait staff. I watched one of the chefs bring a small sample of all of the taco meats to a couple of tourists who were having trouble ordering. Talk about next level service!
I only ordered tacos - cabeza, adobada, and bistec. My favorite was the cabeza followed by adobada. Prices were good too.

"After hearing and reading so many great things about these tacos, as many claim them to be the best in Guanajuato, I was somewhat disappointed after getting to try them.
They were not terrible, but they also were not amazing. I would say they are some of the most average tacos I have had while in Mexico. It felt like everything was lacking a bit in flavor, from the meat to the salsas they brought me to the table. It simply was not very good.
One thing I did enjoy was how FAST the service was. I mean as soon as you order, they will bring the food to your table pretty much within the next minute or two. I was actually very surprised by this but also found it pleasant.
I dined in because I do not like to take these to go but that was a bit of a mistake because they had me sit all the way in the back of the restaurant where it was really stuffy and hot.
One thing that I also liked here was the price of the food. I found it to be very fair and worthwhile as many other places in the city would have charged a lot more."

It’s right beside a similar restaurant (El Paisa 2) but El Paisa 1 takes the trophy in my opinion. Service is fast, food is fresh and the bill is cheap (you’ll be full for less than $50 pesos!). The washroom is well maintained (for Mexico) and there are bottles of hand sanitizer at each table.
