Reviews Summary

Botánico is celebrated for its enchanting courtyard ambiance and creative, well-executed dishes, with standout items like tuna tostadas and mussels. While many praise the impeccable service and unique setting, a few reviews mention inconsistencies in service and food quality, suggesting potential for improvement in overall customer experience.

"Delicious, creative, and executed perfectly. Every dish serves its own purpose on your palette. Besides the amazingly lush gardens that surrounds you, the staff here are professional and the service is impeccable. Get the heirloom tomatoes, the smokey clamato jus combined with the fresh ingredients has cemented it as one of the best tomato dishes i’ve ever tasted. Get the tuna and kanpachi tostadas as well, they’ll make you roll and eyes and shut up till you finish them. Big thanks to the staff here for making the entire experience perfect. The first visit blew me away so much that I had to come back 2 days later lol. Best meal I had in CDMX. Period."

Hyu Seong Tan

"I really enjoyed my meal here. The atmosphere is casual and the outdoor dining area is large. I enjoyed my burger, but the calamari was a stand out. We ordered a second plate for the table, it was that good."

Christopher Brahim

"Our meal was incredible and the service was amazing. We had the Caesar salad, tuna tostadas, bread with blue cheese butter, & the rib eye. Everything was cooked to perfection! I’ve been to a lot of Michelin restaurants all over the world and this one deserves it!"

The menu changes regularly and reflects seasonal ingredients, but typical fare includes flame-roasted beets with a chimichurri sauce, mussels steamed in a coconut-lemongrass broth, and organic smoked and roasted chicken au jus with new potatoes and a robust green sauce.

The art deco–designed space features a secret garden-esque patio that makes for the perfect backdrop to people-watch and enjoy something off its constantly rotating menu.

One is Botánico, an open-air restaurant set within the courtyard of a renovated Art Deco home. At the restaurant’s center is a giant cactus with a small pond at its base.
