Reviews Summary

Meroma is celebrated for its trendy atmosphere, delicious and flavorful dishes like the agnolotti, and friendly, knowledgeable service. Diners appreciate the charming terrace and overall relaxed yet elevated vibe. However, some guests have reported negative experiences with food quality and service, with one review specifically mentioning food poisoning, suggesting inconsistency.

"We really enjoyed our dinner. The restaurant is somewhat hidden and upstairs is a very pretty terrace overlooking the street. The atmosphere was laid back and relaxed. All the servers were polite, friendly and able to answer our questions about the menu. My girlfriend ordered the Agnolotti, and loved it. I ordered the Roasted Berkshire Pork chop, it was spectacular. To start we had some olives and a nice glass of wine. Everything was great, we would definitely return."

Jonah

"Wow! I didn’t know what to expect but every single dish was so unique and flavorful. You must get the tapas of toast and eggplant and the crust. No words can describe the flavors, which sounds overhyped but trust.

Our server was extremely attentive as well!"

Katalina Aguilar

"Flavor. Vibe. Consistency.
Meroma is easily one of our favorite restaurants in CDMX. The food is always full of flavor, beautifully executed, and never pretentious. Every dish feels intentional and comforting, like it was designed to impress without trying too hard. They make the effort to integrate seasonally amongst their menu and even on their staple dishes.

The ambiance strikes that perfect balance of elevated, minimal and relaxed, making it great for a special dinner or just a cozy, long evening with friends. Service is knowledgeable and unobtrusive.

Prices are fair for the quality and creativity you get, definitely worth every penny.

If you’re in the area, especially staying nearby in Roma or Condesa, this is a must."

Meroma opens onto the street with a short bar and a handful of stools—the perfect place for starter cocktails or some bar bites. Up a set of stairs, the dining room is small and cozy, with neutral tones and a slim outdoor space for al fresco dining. This classy and relaxed mid-range restaurant, which serves veggie-focused seasonal cuisine, isn't Pujol, but it's just as thoughtful.

This Roma hot spot, from restaurateur Mercedes Bernal and her chef husband, Rodney Cusic, is celebrated for its farm-to-table cuisine, with unexpected dishes like quail marinated with harissa, and comfort-food favourites like handmade agnolotti. An insider's guide to Mexico City, the tastiest destination in North America right now

This is a Mexican restaurant,” says Ana Paula Tovar, a well-respected local food blogger, journalist, and podcaster. The place in question is the five-year-old Meroma, an airy, mirrored and terraced Roma Norte joint that, at first glance, does not seem especially Mexican: its most well-known dish is orecchiette with lamb merguez. What Ana means is that the preparation, the style, the heart of the place is infused with the tradition and playful experimentation that have made Mexican cuisine so indispensable.

Eating Pretty in Mexico City – Call Me a Food Lover…

I think Meroma is an under-recognized gem in the heart of Roma Norte. I’ve long-lunched, and intimate-dinner’d upstairs on their covered patio and lovely indoor space but my favourite seat is downstairs in their retro-decor’d bar. I’ve never been disappointed with any of the dishes but I always have to order the ensalada de cogollo (romaine heart salad with furikake, puffed rice and a smoked tofu lemon dressing), their crudo of the day and a pasta or 2.
