What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Yokot'an Antojería is highly praised for its authentic and delicious regional Mexican dishes, with the French toast being a particular standout. Diners appreciate the fair prices and charming, albeit small, atmosphere. However, some reviewers have noted issues with slow or disorganized service, and occasional lack of seasoning in certain dishes, making for a mixed dining experience.
"Truly some amazing foods!
UPDATE
It's been approximately 4 years since we've been here and we're NOT disappointed! The French toast was the best French toast I've ever had! And my wife LOVED her tomales!
We'll be back!"

"The service was great, the place is beautiful & light. The
Mole was just okay. The sauce was the only thing on the plate with any flavour at all, the chicken inside tasted like nothing. I wanted to try dessert, but the horchata cafe was too sweet & syrupy, so we had to pass. My husband got the chicken salad & said it was good but not memorable. Our bill was $635 pesos (less than $30USD) tips are only 10%.
The chairs are very uncomfortable.
If you are already in Monterrey, you should definitely stop here. But not around 2:30, there are 3 schools on the street & traffic is awful. Parking is very limited (5 spaces) & there is no public or paid parking anywhere on this block. Since we were just passing through Monterrey, I don't think it was worth the half hour detour in heavy pollution & traffic to get here."

"They don't seem to understand hospitality. The manager or owner was overhearing a conversation about one of the plates, so he decided to come to the table and remove the plates from the table even when he was told not to - He got offended by the comment about a plantain that was chewy and unable to be taken bites from. I am still amazed by the interaction, maybe he was having a bad day but if you are you need to remove yourself from the customers, so you don't damage the whole place ambience."
