What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Restaurant La Noria offers a visually stunning experience in a historic hacienda with a beautiful garden patio. Diners frequently praise the authentic Puebla cuisine, particularly the Mole Poblano and Chiles en Nogada. While the ambiance and many dishes receive high marks, some reviews mention inconsistent service and a perception of being overpriced.
"Wonderful hacienda setting - great menu, the octopus was big and delicious- shared with 3 people!"

"I had the most unwelcoming experience at Restaurant La Noria. It came highly recommended, so while I can’t comment on the food, the hostess team left a terrible first impression.
Upon arrival, I was greeted—not with a “Good afternoon” or any courtesy—but with a blunt, “You don’t have a reservation; it will be an hour.” No warmth, no effort to make me feel valued as a potential guest.
I’m very familiar with the reservation system they use and even mentioned to the hostess that I wouldn’t be staying long, so they could still have the table back soon. Yet, there was no attempt to accommodate me—just a blank stare. The interaction felt judgmental, dismissive, and borderline discriminatory.
Overall, it was a brutal experience and a poor reflection of customer service. A restaurant’s atmosphere isn’t just about the food—it starts at the door. Unfortunately, La Noria failed in that regard."

"This restaurant has become a landmark in Puebla. The atmosphere is great in the garden patio with the trees and open space. The food I found was very average. It is pricey. Service good. There is valet parking. You will see the cream of Puebla visiting this locale. Worth a visit."

The remodeling conserved much of the original construction, its essence and atmosphere. Today, visitors can enjoy the greenery of surrounding laurels, the architecture of the 16th century, and traditional poblano dishes, with chile poblano being one of them.

La Noria Restaurante Bar: At the suggestion of the general manager of my hotel, I went to this former 16th century hacienda in a newer section of town. What a gorgeous spot!!!. I sat on the terrace which overlooked the gardens and had a really great meal of shrimp and mango salad and salmon with papaya and mango salsa.
