What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Restaurant "Fez Café" is celebrated for its stunning garden ambiance and the unique fusion of Moroccan and French cuisine, with many highlighting the inclusive menu options. However, some diners have noted that the service can be slow and disorganized, and a few have found the food, particularly the tagine, to be a letdown. Despite these criticisms, the beautiful setting often makes it a memorable experience.
"This place is incredible! Very lovely ambiance and staff. Delicious food. We had a 6 people with a mix of dietary restrictions at the table, and their menu was very inclusive. The chef generously accommodated another dietary restriction as well. Highly recommend for dinner while in Fez."

"There are times you should ignore what guide books or Netflix series tell you. I felt like telling anyone who hasn't yet ordered, to just leave. I truly don't like having bad food when I've limited meals in a city or town.
Don't get me wrong. The place is gorgeous and serves alcohol! The (white) wine was really great. And maybe the other things on the menu might have been better but come on, you can't get Tajine wrong in Morocco!
But the food was a big let down. The Chicken Tajine was dry, the chicken had no seasoning or flavor, and the cous cous was meh. This was my second night in Fes so I had already had probably the best Chicken Tajine already the previous night (Ouliya for the curious). I have added so much salt and spices to it yet it still is not great.
The service was also pretty lacking. I had been here at around 5pm and told that I don't need to make a reservation. Then at 7:45, I walk in and am given a table inside and not where I would have preferred (apparently because there's a reservation at 8pm). It's empty till 8:30 when they finally give it to a random couple who just walked in.
You can see the dry and tasteless chicken and the empty table in the photos"

"We loved this place! A true hidden gem in Fes.
It could be way better advertised since it’s more than a cafe.
The food is great and the service outstanding.
However, mind that the restaurant is part of a luxury riad and prices are high.
However, the garden is actually by far the most beautiful riad garden we have seen.
Here you have the change to enjoy your meal while enjoying this masterpiece of a garden!
One of our personal highlights in Fes. Thank you"

We sat down here for a drink, but didn’t go for food, because it was a little pricy. I’ve heard the food here is good though.
