Reviews Summary

Dar Yacout offers an unforgettable, almost theatrical Moroccan dining experience in a breathtakingly artistic riad. Guests consistently praise the opulent ambiance, stunning rooftop views, and the generous, multi-course feast, often enhanced by live local music. While some find the food itself to be good but not exceptional compared to the decor, the overall immersive atmosphere and attentive service make it a highly recommended, albeit pricey, destination for a special night out in Marrakech. Be prepared for a substantial meal and heed advice about booking and transportation.

"We had a really nice evening at Dar Yacout. The place is beautiful, with amazing traditional decor that gives you a real Moroccan vibe. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the whole experience felt very welcoming.

The food was tasty and there was a lot of it – course after course of Moroccan dishes. We loved the setting, the music, and the atmosphere. A great spot if you want to enjoy a special night out in Marrakech!"

Safae F.

"Wow!!! We were looking for an authentic and beautiful Moroccan dinner experience and that's what we got here. Amazing food (seriously, come hungry, its 5 courses) and the staff was great. He let us take home our pastries because we literally could not eat more (we wanted to!)
Also definitely get reservations and let them know about food allergies and preferences ahead of time."

Malysa Johnson

"Unique restaurant taken from the story of the thousand and one nights. This Riad is a jewel from the past and an architectural piece worth admiring.
The food is mediocre but the experience is unique. Friendly service waiting for your tip. The excessive price."

14 Of Our Favourite Restaurants in Marrakech, Morocco for 2025

This fabulous old-school palace restaurant is set in a huge riad beautifully designed by famed interiors designer Bill Willis (who decorated the homes of many Marrakech celebrities in the 1970s). It was one of the first Medina addresses to offer a fixed-price, multi-course gastronomic Moroccan diffa (feast) and 20 years on its lost none of its glamour. Take an aperitif to Dar Yacout’s panoramic roof terrace or theglowing first floor salon where musicians skilfully play the oud, then settle down for an extravagant feast in one of the lavishly decorated dining rooms where you’ll be served an array of salads, a richly flavoured tagine, couscous, sweet bastilla and finally tea and Moroccan cookies.
