One of my absolute favourite restaurants serving alcohol in Marrakech has got to be DarDar Rooftop. We went in here for lunch on my friend’s birthday – sort of by accident because the place we meant to go to was closed for lunch. I’d seen this place on Instagram so decided to give it a go and wow, we were blown away!

Just a short walk from Jemaa el-Fna square, Dardar Rooftop offers unrivaled views of the Koutoubia Mosque and the Marrakech sunset. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy the evening skyline. The rooftop restaurant serves modern Moroccan cuisine, crafted by highly-trained chefs using the freshest, locally sourced products.

DarDar Rooftop is rare in that it is one of the few places that lives up to all of the Insta hype. After all, the panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains and Koutoubia Mosque are amazing. Therefore, seats at this rooftop bar in Marrakech are highly sought after and a reservation is highly recommended.

Not all that glitters is gold, and Dardar Bar is proof of that. Despite its hype, the service was a letdown and the overall vibe was just meh. If you’re looking for a standout night, there are plenty of other spots in Marrakech that will deliver a better experience.
