This is the first café to offer “real” coffee in Kathmandu and reputable for excellent coffee. It is conveniently situated across the street from Fire and Ice / Mandala street and is great for personal gatherings or informal gatherings.

One of Nepal’s oldest and best known coffee roasters and shops offer a series of blends only available from their shops. I found the coffee to be rather bland. It’s certainly not bad but also didn’t seem overly great either.

The coffee at a place called Himalayan Java (as one would hope) is good with pastries to match, not to mention excellent free wifi. A nice place to relax, especially during the slower afternoon hours.
