However it was very busy with pickup to go orders. Decor as it was stunning just seamed to be too much Found myself looking at everything while eating. Very delicious food and was reasonably priced."

We ordered the chicken Pad Thai, the stir-fry beef with black pepper sauce and vegetables, and Thai spring rolls — everything was delicious and full of flavor.
The Pad Thai had just the right balance of sweetness and tang, and the black pepper beef was tender with a nice kick.
The spring rolls were crispy and fresh, a perfect starter.
Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere made the experience even better.

"I recently had dinner at a Thai restaurant and tried their tom yum soup, stir-fried basil pork, and a deep-fried entrée. The flavors were authentic — the tom yum was aromatic and just the right amount of spicy, and the basil pork was rich and satisfying. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. However, the prices were on the higher side for the portion sizes. Overall, a nice meal if you don't mind paying a bit extra for good quality."

As for actual restaurants as well as The Fireplace, there is Sangam (North Indian and probably my favourite); House of Chang (Thai, another favourite); Aris (Italian); Salt (in the hotel, very nice out on the deck beside the Marina in suitable weather); Captain Cook restaurant in the Mercury Bay Club, which also operates a Bistro. We have a noodle bar, 2 bakeries with cafes, Subway, a Roast Dinner takeaways, an Irish Bar, a sports bar and Dino's, a very nice pizza cafe, but we DO NOT have any McDonalds, Pizza Hut or KFC. There are two or three 'ordinary' cafes, and three fish & chip shops.
