Kostas and Sarah Grigorakis’s restaurant is a few minutes’ stroll from the beach and is usually full of happy locals sharing small plates of Greek favourites, or people stopping in for takeaway pizza. The menu features Greek and Italian favourites spanning from dips and mezedes, to salads, pizza and pasta.

El Greco – Greek Italian Eatery was founded by Kostas and Sarah Grigorakis in Auckland, New Zealand. Kostas has years of expertise in the hospitality industry as a restaurant owner and chef. He learned to cook from his mother guiding him the classic way of preparing Greek cuisines.

Greek-Italian eatery El Greco in Campbell's Bay took out the top gong, beating out 11 other restaurants shortlisted to win the title as well as a $5000 small business support package — no doubt welcomed after a savage couple of years for Auckland's struggling hospitality industry.

This casual Mediterranean-inspired restaurant is a favourite of Elements not only for its cozy atmosphere, good food, and its location less than 2km away but also for the work El Greco does in our community reaching out with donations when needed.

Costas's help organising beforehand and his understanding of the dietary needs of a coeliac in our party was exceptional. Wonderful food, amazing service. Everyone enjoyed the evening.
