Its website really doesn’t do this brew pub any favours, but they do state that they sell beer from all over NZ and combine it with great food. That's pretty stock standard to tell you the truth. BUT, Our mate tells us that it’s a great pub with a great atmosphere and with really interesting beer - and well worth the ‘sit in’.

I absolutely love this beer house, Smiths hosts a great variety of craft beers, is slap bang central Queenstown (hidden upstairs), has a great local atmosphere and provides delicious food!. The Smiths team are always happy to guide you through the best of the local craft brews...

Poutine is a Canadian dish that is very hard to find at the same quality outside of Canada. For those who don’t know, Poutine is fries, cheese curds (not just normal cheese), and gravy. Although this sounds like a simple dish, when it’s done correctly it is next-level amazing!

Smith’s – If you like American-style pub food and craft beer, look no further. Constantly changing taps, and a menu that doesn’t go over $25 (but mostly hovering around $15), they have everything from buffalo wings, to po’ boys to pizza. We can’t go past the loaded fries.

Smith’s also do some great vegan tacos that non-vegans have raved about. But you can’t go past Taco Medic for fancy tacos. If you aren’t a fan of paying $5+ for one taco, head to El Camino from 5 – 9 pm on Tuesdays where they have $3 tacos which includes a vegan option.

Smiths Craft Beer House was a pleasant find on my first night in Queenstown. I would end up going back almost every other night I was there. The bar features 18 rotating taps of some of the best craft beers in New Zealand, plus a large, high-quality bottle selection.

For the fans of craft beer out there, this is the place to go. There’s a massive selection of craftys, the bartenders are super knowledgable about the brews on tap, and you can try before you buy. The burgers at Smiths are pretty good too!
