What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Ambrosia Restaurant and Bar offers a warm ambiance and many well-executed dishes, particularly steaks and lamb shanks. However, service can be chaotic and inconsistent, with some diners experiencing long waits and forgotten orders. While the signature dessert is popular, its sweetness can be polarizing, and some dishes like pizza and scallops have received mixed reviews.
"Fabulous restaurant! We both had the eye fillet and it was cooked to perfection. The team were so friendly and welcoming! We will definitely come here again when in town."
M Nixon
"First time here, we waited for our drinks but unfortunately the waiter had forgotten to order them so drinks arrived halfway through our meal. The place had a great vibe and felt spacious. The meal was on the small side and the mash potato i requested was quite runny. But chicken was nice, however the highlight was the Ambrosia dessert but was very sweet. The sorbet (with the cheesecake was very sweet and ice cream would be a better fit). The food presentation could do with some work."
Belinda Plunkett
"Sione greeted me as I walked past, normally I hate this, but it felt like there was no pressure as he was so warm and welcoming.
The food was delicious and served with a smile. I had a very pleasant experience.
$64 got me the entree/main special, a drink and dessert."
