Even though our time in the town was short, Karolina’s hospitality made us feel like locals. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure guests had a great experience. It's rare to meet someone who brings that much heart into their work — she’s a true gem!
As for the food, the Seafood Chowder absolutely blew my mind — it was my first time trying it, and now I know what I’ve been missing all this while!

"We had a lovely dining experience in cook saddle. Such a nice restaurant with lots of charm and character! The fire place was cozy and made the atmosphere even lovelier. The waitress was extremely kind and helpful! The food was very tasty. Sadly very limited vegan/vegetarian options. But after asking they made something up for us! Thank you very much for the nice dining!"

"Karolina is a true asset to this place, exceptional service, friendly and professional. The food was a bit of a let down. I ordered The pie of the day whichwas locally sourced Thar, meat was nicely cooked but unfortunately that was all I have to say good about the meal. We also ordered the Seafood chowder, the adding of turmeric was a nice touch but the over use of calamari was very disappointing."

Firstly, we were a bit cold and wet from the rain on our walk down here and it was so cosy with a proper fire. A fire was always a staple in my families’ houses in Ireland and even in my own growing up in London.

Arguably the best located restaurant in Fox Glacier, the Cook Saddle sits at the main junction in town (competition is not fierce for that title admittedly). It’s here where you’ll want to sit down and quite possibly stay seated. It’s all too easy to spend the entire day eating and drinking as you soak up the views.
