"Great staff, nice atmosphere, sitting on the deck when the sun is out is lovely.
My burger was delicious! Meat patty was big, thick and had a really nice flavour to it, with a bit of sweetness which was nice. My friends also enjoyed their burgers.

"Entrees were good. Then we waited 45min for a burger. The rest of the restaurant got their meals along with our entrees and we still had to wait. Chef likely forgot about our order. When the food came the chips were cold and burger was small relative to the price.
Buffalo Cauliflower was great start though. Would have given a better rating however having to wait for a small burger with cold chips for so long didn't help the rating."

"Probably the most fun place in Franz Josef town. Food takes forever to serve but is good once it arrives. Good selection of drinks and many south island native gins, and the best part is after 9pm on some nights they keep their bar open and it becomes a very hip and chill karaoke disco like pub. Definitely worth a visit in FJ."

You pay around NZ$18 (price subject to change) to sit at a large table with fellow budget travellers to eat endless amounts of gourmet pizza, typically with a drink included. The bi-weekly event is usually advertised on posters around the Rainforest Retreat accommodation.
