Situated across the road from the beach, this café is well known as its former iteration of Tay Street Beach Café until the team from Pāpāmoa’s Pearl Kitchen took ownership and transformed it. Located about halfway down Marine Parade, this place has the area all to itself and you can see why… no one could compete. My personal favourites are Sidetrack, Café 88 and Tay street cafe. Sidetrack is located at the base of the mountain, so a perfect spot to enjoy lunch after you have completed the walk. Café 88 is situated on the main street with all the shops; While Tay street café is located further down the road.

Tay Street Beach is another of the quality Bay of Plenty breaks that’s good for all levels. It’s a long beachfront with waves that lump up up over the sandbars. They can be quite sucky and strong, offering fast drop-ins to the left and the right.

It's a beautiful place and me and my friend really enjoyed eating there. The window seat looks out to the beach and it's lovely. It's very pet friendly and everyone was super sweet and nice.
