Reviews Summary
Scopa is celebrated for its delicious, globally-recognized pizzas and its uniquely decadent hot chocolate, often described as a must-try treat. The cozy ambiance and attentive customer service, even during busy periods, are frequently praised, making it a beloved spot on Cuba Street. While many rave about the food and atmosphere, some diners have experienced delays in service for desserts and occasional inconsistencies, particularly with gluten-free options.
"Even when busy, you tend to get seated pretty fast. Pizzas are awesome. Hot chocolate is divine. Great location on Cuba street. Great timings as well- they are open for quite a sizable chunk of the day. Beware of the restrooms when visiting for the first time though. They have so many full length mirrors and are dimly lit. Its possible to lose your orientation and walk into a mirror or door :-D"

"This bustling pizzeria offers high-quality food and is certainly worth a visit. However, it would be beneficial to reconsider the pricing, ideally reducing it by 8-10%, to better align with the quantity and overall costs. Presently, there is no significant competition in Wellington, but I foresee potential challenges once a new competitor enters the market."

"I ordered from here via Uber eats last night. I've recently been diagnosed as celiac, so I can not eat anything with gluten, so I ordered their gluten-free pizza base. When the pizza arrived, it was freezing cold, and half of the entire crust was burnt to a crisp, and the crust was inedible. The pizza was disgusting and I paid an outrageous price ($36.19) for it with no refund. I never had a bad experience with their food before being diagnosed as celiac but this was extremely disappointing and disgusting, I will not be going back."

Best Italian Restaurants Wellington
Scopa is another one of Cuba Streets Italian hotspots – but rather than serving up plates of pasta, they put all their focus into crafting the perfect pizzas. Staying true to their Italian roots, their pizza base recipe and method is exactly how the old Nonna’s all make theirs, but when it comes to the toppings, this is where they like to push the boundaries of tradition. Of course they serve up the perfect Margherita (which are $10 on a Tuesday), but their other pizzas feature ingredients like clams, spicy sausage, zucchini, potatoes, and even mint.

You get a good feeling immediately as you walk into Scopa with a warm welcome from the staff beckoning from the large central bar to a table, and a waiter right behind us bringing glasses of water and menus, asking on drinks as we sat down. You may think this is all standard, but it’s not always the case; we waited 15 minutes at Pizza Mario without a drink and the place was practically empty as we arrived early, on a bleak Sydney winter night.
