Reviews Summary

Hyde offers an exceptional dining experience with impeccable food and service, often described as a favorite spot in Oslo. Guests rave about the unique flavor combinations and skilled cooking, though some find portion sizes to be small for the price, and service can occasionally be less than friendly.

"Amazing food, amazing service!
I had the Gordita menu, was by myself and they made sure that I was getting all the attention. The service truly makes a difference! Fine dining in a cool atmosphere."

Beatriz Pestana

"I get why it was one star, just not why it was a Michelin star. Might be just me, but for $150 meal I expect enough food to fill me up and the service to be friendly.

I was beyond disappointed in the food and portion size. I had a three course dinner and nothing was appealing at all except for the lamb. The lamb was fantastic but it was literally three bites.

To compound this the lady behind the bar was not fun or enjoyable. She had a smug, condescending attitude and when she went too far, she tried to joke and it felt like she was trying too hard to be funny but she just came across as demanding and rude.

I get I’m not the intended clientele for places like this, but when I pay that much money for so little food and to be treated like a chump. If anything this experience makes me never want to go to a Michelin-rated restaurant again."

Trenton White

"Food and service was impeccable! One of my absolute favourite spots in Oslo. A place with a lot of personality, and a harmony of flavours and texture. Trust the staff with wine recommendations."

Review: Hyde - A New Pjoltergeist is Back to Haunt Rosteds Gate

Pjoltergeist was one of those legendary restaurants, which, for five sweet years, helped define the food scene in Oslo. In 2013, Susanne Låstad and Sverre Bøyum, together with the Icelandic-born chef Atli Mar Yngvason, took over the venue Rubber Duck from Hell’s Angels. The address was Rosteds gate 15 B – on a street that otherwise is dominated by massage parlors, a sex shop, and an old pub.
