Reviews Summary
Sumo Restaurant Hall Toll is lauded for its exceptional sushi platters and beautiful waterfront ambiance. While many praise the fresh ingredients and innovative fusion dishes, some diners note that service can feel rushed, and prices for certain items, like cocktails, are on the higher side. The restaurant's stylish interior and unique offerings make it a memorable dining experience, though occasional inconsistencies in service and value for some dishes are mentioned.
"Wow! The food was absolutely phenomenal. We had the 50-piece sushi platter for two, and it was both generous in portion and packed with variety. Without a doubt, some of the best—if not the best—sushi I’ve ever had! The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a lovely setting and a fantastic ambiance. The service was impeccable, making the experience even better. We visited based on a recommendation, and I will definitely be recommending it to others. Five stars all day long!"

"For its segment, a very nice restaurant.
The atmosphere is simply stunning located by the water.
Interior is really inviting and this restaurant is worth a visit just for that.
Staff is really nice and helpful, kitchen might be a bit too small for the size of this place but the waitress told us beforehand we had to wait for the food a bit. Wasn’t a major wait.
I have had better sushi in Norway, much better. But then again, I ordered the deluxe version without knowing what it was and I am not a fan of fruits on my sushi which it had.
Wasn’t bad though, i guess my taste is more on the plain side and let the fish be the main taste.
Will definitely come back!"

"This is a large restaurant at the Stavanger harbor. They have a very colorful atmosphere and the place is very clean.
I had their sushi for beginners which has 14 pcs for 300 kr. It had three different types of sushi with wasabi and ginger, nicely plated. Unfortunately I was underwhelmed by the meal. I am no sushi expert, but it tasted very similar to sushi at a buffet or those that you get in a box at the groccery store, maybe just slightly elevated. I have had very good sushi at a similar price point in other places in Stavanger.
In the past I have their other meals which I enjoyed much better. If their prices for the sushi was a bit lower to match the quality, I would have given them a higher rating."
