What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Wanna Sushi & Thai Mat is celebrated for its impressive fusion of Thai and Japanese cuisines, particularly its high-quality sushi and sashimi. Diners often praise the friendly service and appealing presentation. However, some reviews note that while the food looks great, the taste doesn't always meet expectations, with occasional issues regarding rice preparation and flavor balance.
"To quote an earlier review - this is a hidden gem, and hidden gem it certainly is. This is a review for the rolls and nigiri, which were really excellent. Not only did everything taste good, but even the presentation was awesome, and the staff were really friendly. Compared to Southern California and sushi prices there, this was really well priced and far less than what we would pay at home. Would definitely come here again when visiting Stavanger"

"Cute little restaurant- interesting combinations of food: Thai and Japanese.
It would be great if they had more vegetarian options."

"Honestly one of the best sushi spots I’ve ever been to. The way for me to tell is always the quality of the tuna. Salmon is usually easier to source, so if a place doesn’t serve fresh tuna, you know it’s low quality. Well, the opposite is true with Wanna Sushi which serves top notch tuna - and halibut too!! The sashimi plate was so good we had to order another 10/5"
