Reviews Summary

Diners rave about Kjolle's stunning presentation and elegant atmosphere, often describing the experience as an unforgettable culinary journey. The attentive and polished service is frequently highlighted. However, some guests noted that while flavors are intriguing and fresh, they sometimes lacked the complexity or excitement expected at this caliber, leaving a desire for more memorable taste sensations.

"I went here in july 2025 and they have upped their game. I can see they are going for number 1 and they are not messing around. Great from the moment you walk into the reception. Food is fantastic and the entire concept is a theatrical production. Highly recommend"

Sam Foster

"From the moment I walked in, the service was nothing short of phenomenal — exactly what I expected from a place of this caliber. The ambiance strikes a unique balance: an eclectically modern aesthetic with a spacious, open vibe. It’s worth noting that the openness extends to the kitchen sounds as well; whether the clatter and chatter enhance or disrupt your experience really depends on personal preference.

The presentation of the dishes was absolutely stunning — again, no surprise there. Every plate felt meticulously crafted, and the wine and alcoholic drink pairings were thoughtfully curated, subtly yet meaningfully elevating the overall experience.

Unfortunately, the taste was where things fell short. While everything was undeniably fresh and offered some intriguing, exotic notes, the flavors didn’t quite deliver the journey I was hoping for. Each dish felt balanced on its own, but as a whole, the tasting experience was flat, lacking the complexity and excitement that would make each bite memorable. In my judgment, this is exactly what I would expect from a tasting menu.

Despite the outstanding service and atmosphere, I can’t fully recommend the culinary experience here. At this level, when everything else is raised so high, the flavors should be the true standout — and sadly, they just weren't."

Lo Vera

"A complete dining experience! The meal was simply incredible with highlights of duck, lobster and slow braised cow rib. The final dessert and chocolate lab tour were amazing! Worth every bit of time during the 3 hour dinner… a must while in Lima!"

The 15 Best Restaurants in Lima

Kjolle is the name of a shrub with orange flowers that grow at the Peruvian heights and, also, is the name of the restaurant of the Peruvian Pia Leon, considered the best woman chef in the world (according to “the 50 best” magazine in 2018). In Kjolle the diner can find a tasting menu, similar to Central (the restaurant of her husband Vigilio Martinez), but with a horizontal concept, which shows dishes based on Peruvian ingredients grown from east to west (While Central shows a vertical concept, with dishes and ingredients cultivated from 20 meters below sea level, up to 4100 meters above sea level). Talking about the best woman chef around the world is talk about a story of success and struggle.
