Diners rave about specific dishes like ceviche, scallops, and duck, often highlighting the attentiveness of the staff. "From the moment we walked into Tragaluz at the Miraflores Park Belmond Hotel, we were captivated by the elegant yet welcoming atmosphere. The interesting artwork, white tablecloths, and subtle 5-star service combined with light, uplifting music set the perfect tone for the evening.
Our waiter, Christian, truly elevated our experience. His attention to detail was impeccable—he recommended dishes with care, explained every detail in perfect English, and made us feel completely taken care of without ever feeling rushed or forgotten. His service was outstanding, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide through this culinary journey.
Now for the highlight—the food. Every single bite was a masterpiece. The ceviche was so fresh and flavorful it practically melted in our mouths. The balsamic and Parmesan scallops were divine, but the balsamic version stole the show. We were shamelessly scooping up the sauce with bread and wishing we could take a bottle of their 25-ingredient balsamic perfection home.
The duck with rice, a traditional dish, was pure magic. The duck was so tender it fell apart without a knife, and the flavor was otherworldly—each bite required a moment to savor and process just how incredible it was. We ended the meal with a traditional fruit cream dessert that was perfectly balanced—not too sweet, with an impeccable texture.
Everything was flawless. The dishes were flavorful yet light, leaving us satisfied and energized. This is the kind of restaurant we’d return to again and again. Tragaluz truly delivers on every level, and I can’t recommend it enough."

"The food was absolutely delicious — both the flavors and textures were outstanding! Our server, Gabriel, was very professional and introduced each dish in detail. He also recommended pairing it with a Pisco Sour, which was amazing! The murals inside the restaurant are updated every eight months by local Peruvian artists, adding a tasteful and artistic touch to the place. It’s truly a restaurant with great style and atmosphere."

"From the waiting list experience to sitting down to eating the meals, the service was top notch. Very friendly and professional staff 10/10. Answered any and every question the group had with diligence and patience.
Next the ambiance of the restaurant itself is something to behold. Beautiful artwork adorns the interior, comfortable seating, visually appealing and tasteful cutlery, tables, lighting, etc.
Now for the food and drinks. The photos don’t do the flavours justice, but to highlight a couple of items: the conchas parmesanas are an experience to behold. Might be the best conchas parmesanas I’ve ever eaten in my life. Parmesan foam pairs nicely with the buttery soft scallop, and topped with truffle caviar beads. Peruvian food elevated to an art form. The mescal cocktail was incredible as well, paired nicely with the prosciutto stir stick topper, and had a detailed ice cube that added to the experience. Then we got to the desserts, and wow what an exquisite experience to end the night. Chirimoya suspiro (pudding) was the highlight for me, but all of it was excellent.
I will definitely be returning and bringing friends and family for special occasions. The pricing is higher than the average Peruvian restaurant, but totally fair considering the quality and value, certainly not too expensive by any means.
Last thing to note for our dog friends, this place is pet friendly in the patio, which was a surprise for a place this fancy."
